In this WaterTribe adventure race there was minimal rowing and it was always easy with favorable currents (in the Harlowe waterway) or with help from very light winds (Neuse and Newport rivers). I do like to row, and I like for SOS to take the helm when we are 'motor sailing' (rowing in light air) because he is so very good at getting the most from those light shifting puffs. Last year's NCC 2010 was very different as we had to row hard for 18.5 hours taking 20-minute turns at the oars.
